We build museum quality collections of historical autographs, manuscripts, letters, art & rare books

About Us

Kaller Historical Documents, Inc. has been in business since 1990. We are the industry leader in building museum quality collections of historic manuscripts, letters, art, rare books, and other historical artifacts. We have acquired thousands of historically significant items for our clients, many of which are currently housed in major museums. We acted as exclusive agent for the Gilder Lehrman Collection that is currently on exhibit at the New York Historical Society. We help our clients capture the inspiration, the ideas, and the moments that shaped the modern world.

Whether you are an individual seeking to develop a private collection, a corporation looking to have your name immortalized by purchasing a historical document and exhibiting it as part of your public relations, or an institute in need of expert collection management, we can handle all aspects of your development process. As our client, you will know the joy born of a perfectly assembled and efficiently managed collection. We are experts in the field: Let us build your collection.

We appeared in "The Guinness Book of World Records" in 1995 for the highest price for a manuscript in the United States: "On 16 December 1992, a Lincoln manuscript was sold for $1.54 million. The one page script was written in preparation for a speech. It is the first surviving formulation of his 'House Divided' doctrine, written in the winter of 1857 or 1858. The manuscript has been bought by Kaller Historical Documents" for the Gilder Lehrman Collection.  Other notable acquisitions include The Emancipation Proclamation, an original copy of the Declaration of Independence, and many space related artifacts and documents.
